The Emergency Services Creative Arts Project C-I-C provides a platform for serving or retired members of the emergency services, to develop, promote, perform or display their skills and talents in the Creative Arts; or support their learning in taking their skills and talents to the next stage through education, workshops, shows, competitions or festivals.
Emergency service personnel are, or were, when serving, exposed to possible threats, dangers, traumas, stresses and anxieties that other members of society are not normally exposed to on a regular basis. This can have a serious outcome for the member or their families mental or physical well being. The use of and exposure to the creative arts in whatever form is a well documented and recognized way of helping those suffering from PTSD.
Because of family or work commitments whilst serving, it is not always easy to pursue a hobby or passion. ESCAP offers its members an opportunity to help develop new skills and talents taking them to the next level. If you are an entertainer, artist, actor, musician, writer, poet, photographer, or interested in becoming support, background staff for the creative arts for shows, exhibitions, it is not always easy to get noticed the work you do.
ESCAP is a CIC Community Interest Company registered in England and Wales and is a not for profit organization with a social enterprise approach to the heart of our work.
